Homemade cake recipe – ingredients

For the table you will need:

  • 5 eggs
  • 150 gr wheat flour
  • 150 grams of sugar.

For cream:

  • 500 grams of milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 tablespoons full of flour
  • 4 spoons of chocolate
  • 150 grams of sugar
  • 200 gr boiled condensed milk
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar.

For syrup:

  • 200 ml water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon cognac (optional)

Homemade cake recipe – method of preparation

We put the eggs with sugar in a bowl and beat them. We can put cold eggs, from the fridge. After 10 minutes, turn off the mixer and check the composition: if the flowing dough doesn’t suddenly sink into the batter in the bowl, the eggs are ready to be mixed with the flour.

We put the sifted flour in three rounds and mix it with a whisk from top to bottom. We put the dough in a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, slightly shake the pan and put it in the oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 25-30 minutes.

Check the dough with a toothpick. When it’s done, let it cool, put it in food film and put it in the fridge. After 1-2 hours we can cut the sponge cake into thirds to use for the cake.

For cream, take 200 grams of 500 ml of milk and gradually mix it with flour. Beat egg yolks with sugar. Boil the remaining milk. When warm, add the milk and flour mixture and continue to mix. When we see that it starts to thicken, add the beaten egg yolks and vanilla sugar.

We take the composition off the fire, let it cool for two minutes and place the foil/food film on top of the cream. Let the cream cool, then add the condensed milk and mix with a mixer.

We can also prepare a syrup from 200 ml of water and 1 tablespoon of honey. Optionally, you can add 1 tablespoon of cognac. Syrup each top.

We put a lot of cream on each top, and then we treat the outside of the cake. We decorate the cake with chocolate cream, on top of which we can put walnuts, hazelnuts or even fruit.
