If you want to enjoy a delicious and quick breakfast, this fried egg in bread recipe is what you are looking for.
How was the preparation?
Put the butter cubes in the pan and let it melt. Cut the center of the bread, put it in the pan and break one egg into cut shapes. Season with salt and pepper, then fry over low heat. Turn the bread slices over on the other side as well. Be careful not to burn! Remove to a plate and sprinkle with grated cheese.
200 ml milk
pinch of salt
100 ml of oil
How to prepare skewers
Crack the eggs into a bowl, adding as much salt as possible with two fingers. Beat the eggs well, using a whisk or fork. Add milk and mix everything. Heat the oil – use a thick skillet to prevent the fry from sticking.
Dip the bread in the egg and milk mixture, then fry it in hot oil. The fire has to be just right. If it’s too hot, the skewer will burn immediately, and if it’s too slow, the skewer will be soaked in oil. When they are lightly browned on one side, flip them over to the other side. We prepare a plate on which we put absorbent paper. In this case we will remove the skewer, so that the excess oil drains.
In the egg and milk mixture, you can add greens, cheese, crushed garlic, finely chopped green or dried onions, diced bell pepper or, to make it sweeter, 1 tablespoon sugar, vanilla, lemon or orange zest.
BONUS: Omelet with ham and cheese
– 3 eggs
– 200 g of ham, country ham, Prague ham or any other type of ham to taste
– 1-2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
– 25 gr grated cheese to taste (cheddar, swiss, parmesan)
How to make omelette
Cut the ham with a knife into small cubes and break the eggs into a bowl. Put the ham in a frying pan, pour a little oil and fry on high heat. When the ham is lightly browned, add the eggs to the skillet as shown in the video and wait about 20 seconds or until the egg whites start to harden.
Gently mix the ingredients to give a firmer texture to the country-style scrambled eggs (optional). Take this farmer’s omelet from the pan and place it on a plate, draining the oil well if necessary, according to retetedecasa.ro. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the omelet while it’s still hot and wait 1-2 minutes for it to melt before serving.
Serve this rustic ham omelet with some fresh greens like green cucumber, tomato, or red radish for more flavor and vitamins.
