You can also cook a variety of dishes from eggs. The easiest way to cook eggs is to boil them. This will take minimal time.
It is believed that the harder an egg is boiled, the worse it is absorbed by the body, and boiling eggs for more than 20 minutes and then eating them is generally unhealthy. Boil the eggs over medium heat, uncovered, while the water boils. It should also be borne in mind that eggs that are too cold placed in hot water are prone to cracking.
Eggs can be soft boiled or hard boiled.
Place the eggs in the bottom of a pot of cold water. Add 1 teaspoon of salt.
Put the pot over high heat and as soon as it boils, reduce the heat and cook:
-3 minutes if you want the eggs to be semi runny,
-4 minutes for the proteins to “seize” and the yolks remain liquid,
-5 minutes, so that the yolks and whites are cooked through, but there is a streak of bright yellow liquid in the middle,
-7 minutes if you want hard boiled eggs.
Once boiling, soak the eggs under cold water for 1 minute, then leave in cold water until cool enough to scoop with your hands – about 2 minutes.
